Jewish Community in Bozeman, Montana
Shalom Kids is our Hebrew school program for ages 3-13. It includes our Tots class for preschoolers, ages 3-5, and our Aleph, Bet and Gimmel classes for ages 6-13. Shalom Kids meets on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Hebrew instruction (ages 6-13), along with lessons on Judaicsmixed with dancing, songs, prayers, Torah, history, crafts and cooking. The programs are conducted entirely by volunteers, though our Rabbi is a frequent guest instructor. Thank you to those who are giving their time to make this a worthwhile program.
Beth Shalom, in coordination with the Israeli group, Soul Train, runs a one-week summer camp. This year’s dates are TBD.
Camp Kalsman — As part of the URJ, our kids are able to attend the fabulous Camp Kalsman, located an hour north of Seattle.
Rabbi Ed works individually with each bar/bat mitzvah student in the year preceding his/her bar/bat mitzvah, and several tutors are available within our community to help the student learn to read or chant their Torah portion.
